When you call for an appointment, the receptionists will ask if you are willing to give them a brief outline of your symptoms to be able to direct you towards the right service which could be the Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Paramedic, Nursing team, your local Pharmacist or other community service.
We would appreciate your co-operation towards our reception team. If you do not want to tell the receptionist what your symptoms are, it is perfectly acceptable to say that it is a private matter.
We are currently only booking telephone consultations with our clinicians (with the exception of a number of nursing procedures).
If your issue cannot be resolved via a telephone or a video consultation, the clinician will book a face-to-face consultation at the surgery for you.
When you arrive at the surgery, please wait in your car for this appointment/nursing appointments where possible. Ring the surgery on 01323 514383 to let us know you have arrived; the clinician will then text you when they are ready to see you and will meet you at the door.
If you need to wait in the surgery, please press the intercom; you will be triaged by a member of the Reception team.
Please do not arrive more than a few minutes before your appointment. Please note that patients attending for blood tests will need to wait in the surgery; again, please only arrive a few minutes before your appointment.
Please use the hand sanitiser on entry. Face coverings are now mandatory in our building.
Thank you for your continued co-operation and understanding in allowing us to provide the best care and support possible to all of our patients.
You can ring us on 01323 502200.
You can book at our reception desk.
Booking via the NHS App and Patient Access are not currently available. You can find out more about the online services that we support here.
If you feel that your problem could be dealt with over the telephone, please ask the receptionist to book you a telephone consultation with a clinician.
During the current Covid-19 pandemic, we are offering video consultations where appropriate.
** Important information regarding images sent by email: Please note that any digital image submitted as part of an online consultation / prior to a consultation will be stored within your clinical notes**
A limited number of appointments can be booked up to 6 weeks in advance with the remaining appointments released on the day.
Usual appointments times are 10 minutes.
If more than one family member needs to be seen, each patient must be allocated a separate appointment.
Please let us know if you would like a member of the practice team to accompany you during your consultation.
Pharmacists are highly trained and therefore equipped to deal with medication needs and are often a quicker alternative than ringing the Surgery.
NHS 111 can help you if you need urgent medical advice or if you have an urgent medical problem and are not sure what to do. The NHS 111 service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
South Downs Health and Care (SDHC) runs a service known as known as the Improved Access Service. The clinics are run by GP's and other Allied Health Professionals from the local area.
Appointments are available Monday to Friday - 18.30 - 20.30. Saturday - 08.00 - 12.00. Sunday 09.00 - 12.00. The clinics are held at 5 sites in East Sussex: Park Practice Eastbourne, Harbour Medical Practice Eastbourne, Quintin Medical Centre Hailsham, Sea Road Surgery Bexhill and Old School Surgery Seaford.
This is not a walk-in service and Park Practice patients must book an appointment by calling our appointment line. The reception staff will ask for your consent at the time of booking.
If you need to cancel an Improved Access Appointment, please call 07540 745730.
We are now able to offer a new video GP service - LIVI - to all our patients. This will not be with a GP attached to our practice, but is a new service that has been provided free by the NHS. LIVI GPs are all GMC registered NHS GPs, who (with your consent) will be able to access your medical record. You will also be able to get medical advice, prescriptions and referrals on the same day and at the weekends.
You can download the LIVI app to your mobile phone or table, at the App Store or Google Play, or visit www.livi.co.uk for more information.
As this is not a service run by our practice, if you have any questions or need any support you can contact them directly on 0330 808 2074.

Download "Mjog Messenger" in the App Store or Google Play Store or follow the link: www.mjog.com/messenger/
It is important to keep your contact details up to date, please inform the surgery should any of your details change.
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception as early in the day as possible.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
